Pokemon 004-006: Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard

Charmander is a small, cute, fire pokemon. Charmander has less detail than the other pokemon which makes him an appealing pre-evolution pokemon. His attackes, including flamthrower, fit his type. His body is made up of lots of curves making him look more friendly. If you are looking for a small, energetic pokemon with great potential, this is a good choice.

Chameleon is more of a firce, tough , pokemon made up of more right angles than curves. This is where his turning from a lizard-like pokemon to a dragon-like pokemon takes place. However, I don't understand why he goes orange (Charmander) -> red (Charmeleon) -> orange (Charizard). Charmeleon's red is the color I would want for male Charmander, male Charmeleon, and male Charizard. Female versions would be Charmander's orange.Over all, I think that Charmeleon is great for Charmander turning into Charazard. If he wasn't there, it would be like cute little Bulbasuar and Ivysaur turning into monsterous Venusaur!

Charzard, the final evolution, a flying, fire dragon. Now that he has wings, flying has been added to his types, this allows him to fly out of reach of some attacks, then swoop down and attack the enemy! Going from two feet (Charmander) then three foot seven (Chameleon) to five foot seven,(Charizard) as you can imagine has had a termendous growthspurt. Charizard's wings and long tail make him even more bigger, so small pokemon (especially grass pokemon) don't stand a chance (unless it's water). If you like fire and flying pokemon, this is definitely the one you want.

Pokemon 1-3: Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur

Bulbasaur.
The first Pokemon in the Pokedex. Wow.
Bulbasaur is cute.
However, this Pokemon review team is of the opinion that Bulbasaur should have a major gender distinction - eg, a male bulbasaur is very dark green and a female is very light green.

I have nothing against Ivysaur. He's more powerful than Bulbasaur; Pokemon definitely balanced tough and adorable in this Pokemon. The development of the bulb througought Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venusaur evolution was clever as well, and the progression from aqua to blue and spots to no spots was handled well.

Venusaur looks too mean. He's waaaay too big, evolvinig from adorable little Bulbasaur into monster-guy Venusaur. Venusaur, amazingly, has a slight distinction between genders. The yellow middle part of Venusaur's flow looks slightly different between male and female forms. Though I'm excited for that, I would appreciate a bigger difference between genders. The female form, for example, might have a large pink flower; the male, on the other hand, could have a fierce-looking plant such as the cactus. The male form might also have a dark blue skin. Ivysaur would also have a cactus and dark blue skin (so that the evolution would make sense).

Hello!

Hi, I'm a Pokemon fan.
I'm blogging on the variety of Pokemon in the Pokemon series. I'll be a critic sometimes, and sometimes I'll be an encourager.
We're sure to have a great time discussing the different Pokemon together. Feel free to chime in (that's what comments are for ;)
